Our stay at the cabin was wonderful. We loved the privacy of the cabin and the hot tub was so relaxing. The access to the water was great. I love the kitchen; it was so pretty and convenient. We didn't want to leave and return to our busy schedule and our demanding lives as parents. It was a great way for us to relax and unwind for our anniversary. We will definitely come back in the future.

My husband and I went to Derby with some family. We had been there before and loved it so much that we wanted to share it. We previously stayed at Shady Creek and loved it. It worked out perfect because when I went to make our reservations I waited a little too late and Shady Creek was taken, why is this perfect, because we found Utopia. My goal is to stay at each of the cabins but now I have two favorites, hopefully next trip they will be booked up and I will have to stay at a new one. Utopia was so amazing, fire pit was fun, great front yard for wiffle ball and just enough off the beaten path you could leave the doors open and not be bothered with noise. Amazing staff, when we got home we realized we didn't have the wiffle bat that went with us, emailed the cabins, they were right on it and now we know where the bat is. Cannot wait to get back down there with more people to show it off to. Had a blast and you will too, go check it out!!

My wife and I rode our motorcycle down to Derby. This was the perfect cabin for us because it was on the main road and had a great driveway for parking. We sat out on the back deck late at night and watched the barges go by, we saw mommy and daddy geese with their fuzzy little babies and just loved the location of this cabin. We went with my daughter and her husband, they stayed in Utopia and loved it. It was a perfect weekend getaway and can't wait to get back down there.

We came here while the kids had spring break and stayed thursday - sunday...We fell in love the cabin right away and wanted to just move it! It is nestled away and we loved that. Spent time at the cabin and also in Tell City, which we loved. Tell City has a wonderful restaurant called "Capers" The town is only about 20 minutes away. Just loved everything about this trip and we are already planning a trip this fall..hopefully in the "Lodge" Also love the staff. Thanks again!

The Utopia is a peaceful haven and captivates you the minute you drive up the road and view it in the distance. The outside provides an authentic log cabin look and has a beautiful lawn, fabulous hot tub, and plenty of privacy. The interior welcomes you with an old timey feel and yet still has all of the modern comforts. The full kitchen includes any dishes that you might need throughout your stay, microwave, coffee pot w/ timer, and a washer and dryer. Upstairs has two beautiful bedrooms, jacuzzi, and a huge balcony that you can sleep on under the stars or wake up and have your morning coffee and enjoy the view. Once you go, you will not want to leave. A special thanks to the owners that keeps these cabins so clean and special to their visitors. We appreciate it more and more each year.

We sure had a good time here at the Merrymaker over Christmas. It was a great place for friends and family to come visit. We hope to come back and experience different seasons. As you probably don't know, I grew up here in Derby. It's been a long time since I spent Christmas in Derby; really enjoyed it. We brought our whole gang and had a great time!

I've stayed in a lot of inns and B & B's-this cabin was one of the best. Online description doesn't do it justice. My Mom & I came down to visit friends in the area. I'm mad we spent so much time with them instead of @ the cabins! Staff are great too-took care of the only question I had without any problems.

Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us. We especially enjoyed seeing the white squirrel and watching 8 wild turkeys meander through the front yard. We spent a big part of the weekend on your beautiful gazebo. We enjoyed lots of laughs and made good memories.

Stayed in several Ohio River Cabins. They are all unique and have different views. We always eat at Marcy's in Leopold & walk to the church. This time we visited Tell City & ate in Hawesville, KY at the "Riverview".
Peaceful & calm place that we all enjoy!
