What a wonderful vacation! My husband and I and our two friends and their daughter had so much fun. We went early October 2010 and were lucky enough to see the leaves changing. The cabin was better than expected and everything was so neat and tidy. We all went to the store (quite a few miles away) the day we got there and were able to cook some fabulous meals with the well stocked kitchen pots, pans, and utensils. At night we enjoyed the hot tub for hours gazing at the stars and hearing all kinds of noises outside. After the hot tub sleep was that much more enjoyable and allowed for waking up refreshed. The little one had plenty to do with the hiking, cooking, and football throwing. Our only regret is that we were there for only 2 nights. Not a mistake we are likely to do again. Thank you Ohio River Cabins!

We have been returning customers to ORC and each time we are greeted by friendly staff and love the cabin options. Our first stay was in the hideaway and we thoroughly enjoyed that one. However, we fell in love with The Cottage and will only reserve that one now. Because of it's location it makes us feel like a 'local' and the view of the river is outstanding. The Cottage itself is quaint, clean and welcoming. Always clean and always a joy.

Utopia - the perfect spelling for a perfeclty serene and peaceful location above the majestic Ohio River. We spent our 44th Anniversary there in Sept. 2010 and we will be back. Many thanks to the hosts and their proficient helpers. The cabin is cozy and very clean and contains practically everything one 'needs' for a more than comfortable stay. The owl serenade the night of our anniversary only added to thrill of the deer parade and the wild turkey sightings; but the highlight of our second night was the phenomenal view of the sky and the Milky Way. It was raining when we arrived and the first night it was cloudy, but we enjoyed cooking on the grill and relaxing in the hot tub in lieu of star-gazing that night. Morning coffee on the 2nd story balcony spoiled us! Thank you all for providing what will be our "home away from home" for what we hope will be years to come. We are eager to share this experience with our children and grand-children soon. (a closer drive for those driving from Kansas City than if they have to drive to Indianapolis!)

This was our first visit to Ohio River cabins but it wont be our last. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the cabin immensely. It was quiet and peaceful. Although the cabin is not on the river, we saw the most incredible moon ove the river when we arrived in Derby. The hot tub was wonderful. The cabin was clean and very homey. Did not lack for anything. Word of advice....no where close to shop so bring everything you need. But I see that as a plus. Cant say enough good things. Thinking of planning a fall trip with some friend and might stay at On the Rocks cabin. It sleeps more and is on the water.

We found this place on the internet looking for a place in Indiana, we hadn't been to Indiana much.
We enjoyed our stay. The cabin seemed small for a family of 5 but we soon found it to be plenty of room. When it finally stopped raining, we check out the yard and the park down the road.

We visited Marengo Cave and the Lincoln Boyhood National Park. Both were excellent selections for our family. We enjoyed the camp fires and hot tub too.

The scenery was beautiful-a great reminder of the splendor of God's creation. We saw a muskrat, heard birds and woodpeckers. The river was fun to watch especially the barges. Thanks for a great vacation. We really want to come back. There is so much more we want to visit.

It has been five years since I've been to stay at the cabins and it is still the same great place. I love to just sit back and watch the barges go by, swim in the river, and enjoy nightly camp fires. The hot tub was awesome!! Hopefully, it won't be another five years till I have an opportunity to get back!

What a beautiful morning! Sitting on the back deck overlooking the Ohio River. The only thing we hear are birds, waves & cows mooing on the other side of the Ohio River. The sun is shining like diamonds on the water & the most beaufitul deep blue & yellow butterflies are everywhere. As the day progresses barges, boats & skiers go up & down the river-very entertaining but never destroying the peacefulness of the river. I could sit here forever & never tire of the beauty or fully absorb all of God's wonders & healing powers here. A perfect escape from work & stress.

Just one day but it was a very good day so far. Coming from Michigan City a far Northern city all the way down to Southern IndAina. It was worth it. So relaxing to sit in the hot tub & watch the Ohio River. Beautiful scenery! JUST LOVED IT!!!!!!!

Our stay at the cabin was wonderful. We loved the privacy of the cabin and the hot tub was so relaxing. The access to the water was great. I love the kitchen; it was so pretty and convenient. We didn't want to leave and return to our busy schedule and our demanding lives as parents. It was a great way for us to relax and unwind for our anniversary. We will definitely come back in the future.
