The name Utopia makes you think of a place of wonder, beauty, peace and tranquility with no problems whatsoever, the unattainable paradise. This cabin come about as close to that as I think possible. It is that one place I would imagine if someone asked me to close may eyes and focus on a peaceful, tranquil place "your happy place". For me, just imagining myself sitting on the balcony here can have a relaxing and calming day dream. The reality of this daydream is amazing.
My wife and I call Fort Wayne home and we were here about this same time last year and fell in love with the place. This year we've come back to celebrate 32 wonderful years of marriage. We married May 7th so many years ago in Vista, CA, may wife's home town. Our daily lives are busy and we always seem to be running to some schedule. Utopia has been ideal place to disconnect from all life's distractions and scheduled commitments and instead focus attention on relaxing, recharging, and reconnecting with each other.
The balcony is a perfect spot for star gazing. We brought a telescope along and put it together and used it for the first time here. Beautiful night sky-awesome!

We really enjoyed our stay and would like to make this a regular annual destination. We love to spend some time here in the fall or even winter. Thanks for sharing this beatuiful cabin with us. If you ever decide to sell we's love to make a bid. Sorry, I was so long winded.

Enjoyed the cabin VERY much! The folks around here were friendly. Canoeing was a great deal of fun! Apparently there are 3 deer that visit regularly. They show up around dusk and are unafraid of cars and trucks. The turkeys on the other hand run at the sound of a camera shutter. Thanks for starting what is hoped to be a wonderful tradition.

We came up here with plans of fishing, boating and hiking. Never made it to do any of these things. We ended up being so wraped up in the beauty of the cabin, we didn't care to leave it. To sit and listen to the birds while drinking coffee in the morning with the one I love was completely heaven. "UTOPIA" lives up to it's name.

We had a great time! Both of us wish we could have stayed longer. This was the perfect place for him to ask me to marry him. The ring is gorgeous!! I'm so happy! This place was perfectly secluded to spend time together and with no worries.
No deer but there is always next time!

Yes, Chistmas,it is certainly early this year, we gave each other the gift of quality time for Christmas this year.
When December rolls around, we'll have many wonderful memories of playing games,pitching bean bags, eating all our favorite foods, and being together away from the daily demands that seem to rob us of quality family time.
Mamaw & Papaw were with us. Mom & Dadd...Son & Daughter-in-law, daughter, and one son called but could not make it this year.
We had a ball! We took many pictures, told all the old stories that make one remember the good ole days minus the hardship, and gloried in God's handwork all around us. We even brought the family pet so as to complete our time together.
Next year we hope to bring a couple grandchildren and extend our family unit. In this day and age of not knowing what to buy and rushing here and there to hurry through gift exchanges, we have taken vacation time to make this years Christmas celebration extra special.

First annual Winchester family trip. We had 28 of 42 family members here. Had a wonderful time. God Blessed us with nice Weather, Fun, and Fellowship.

The mystic and splendor of the Ohio River Valley is truly one of Indiana's hidden treasures. It didn't take long for the 6 of us to settle in. The children took great pleasure in picking their bedrooms. The vastness and beauty of the Rock Ridge Lodge were only surpassed by the majesty of the Ohio River itself. Two days were not nearly enough to explore the Derby area. We eagerly await our return visits! Can't wait to come back and see all the different seasons and the beauty they bring.

One again we had a wonderful relaxing vacation! This was our first time staying in "Rock Ridge Lodge". The cabin was great even with the "lean". The children had a grand time exploring all 3 levels. The colored lights in the hot tub and the view of the Ohio River were amazing.

We look forward to returning very soon.

Talk about an amazing setting!! Not only was the actual cabin beautiful, so was the little town it is nestled in. This particular cabin is so peaceful and quiet yet only a couple minutes from anything you might need. My husband and I rode our motorcycle down to Derby and let me say we had a blast getting there. The roads are in good condition and have great curves. We definitely are planning another trip down there, maybe we will stay in a different cabin this time, we would like to see them all. We would highly recommend these cabins either for a fun weekend getaway or a trip with the family. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.

This was our 6th time to ORC! Enjoyed a fire by the riverside on Saturday Night. Great views wherever you go. Thanks for a wonderful weekend and hope all who visit are as blessed as we are.
